Originally operating as a coal merchant, operations quickly expanded to encompass storage and transport solutions as families became less dependent on coal. Headquartered in Corby at a prime logistical location in the heart of the midlands, RCS founder, Ray C Smith built what now stands as warehouse 2. Over time and as operations grew, the facilities grew to what it stands as today.

From strength to strength... Warehouse 3 and warehouse 4 followed shortly after, bringing the total warehousing space to over 300,000 sq ft. Along with the growth of warehousing space, our services continued to grow, from standard warehousing came bonded warehousing, from standard logistics came our membership of Palletforce, and our parcel delivery service.

Today we operate over 400,000 sq ft of warehousing space catering to almost any industry with a multitude of services to fit customers needs.

RCS Logistics to Rhenus Corby:
Our journey into the Rhenus family is an important one in our history. Following acquisition of RCS Logistics in 2017, our company was renamed to Rhenus Corby to highlight our membership in the Rhenus UK group. The acquisition has meant we can expand on the service we can offer our customers, while retaining the important values, culture and company structure that have made us the partner of choice for 1000's of customers across the past 45 years.
